ABOUT  Indian Navy's SSR (Senior Secondary Recruits) or AA programs (Artificer Apprentice):-

Indian Navy is an armed force of India it is a Maritime branch. The President of India is the supreme commander of all armed forces and also of the navy. 
If a candidate wants to serve in the armed forces of India then the Navy is also the best option for them.
Navy is the best option for that student who wants to join a service just after 12th class. This exam is conducted at both level 12th   level and also for graduate candidates.

History of Navy Force:

The Navy was founded on 20 January 1950 74 years ago and now it is a current service in India and is a part of the Indian armed forces. Its headquarters is located in New Delhi. The colour given to it is navy blue, golden and white and its motto is Sham no varnah which means may the god of water bless us. Every year Navy Day was celebrated on 4 December.

OBJECTIVES OF ESTABLISHING OF NAVY:-

  1. Its primary objective is to safeguard or protect the maritime border of India.
  2. To act together with other armed forces of the union to prevent or defeat any threat or aggression against the territory, people or maritime interest of India both in War and Peace.
  3. The Indian Navy promote bilateral relations among Nations through joint exercises, goodwill, visits and humanitarian missions including disaster relief.

Area of work:-

The cheap of Naval Staff a 4 star Admiral commands the Navy. As a Blue Water Navy it operates significantly in the Persian Gulf reason, the Horn of Africa, and the Strait of Malacca.

Selection process :-

It has two phases.  In the first phase, there is an online exam in which the syllabus is given after completing it.  If this phase is cleared then physical and medical test is conducted in phase 2 and after that the final merit list is released.

Eligibility criteria:-

Age limit 17 to 20 years.
12th pass with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

Difference between Navy SSR and Navy AA :-

NAVY AA

Navy AA is a technical post. work environment for Navy AA -  stream forward machinery, diesel and gas turbine, guided missiles, sensors equipment, computer in highly advanced radio and electrical power system.

Qualification for Navy AA  10 + 2 examination with 60% or more mark in aggregate with physics chemistry biology computer science 

Navy AA candidate selected will undergo 9 week basic training at INS Chilika.

Navy SSR

Navy SSR is a non technical post .

Work environment for Navy SSR - aircraft carrier,guided missile, destroyers and firgates replenishment ships /highly technical works, fascinating submarines and aircrafts, Radars/sonars or communication, firing of weapon such as missile. Navy SSR candidate selected will undergo 22 weeks basic training at INS Chilika.

Exam pattern:-

There are a total of four subjects included in this exam all subjects have an equal weightage of 25 marks this is the following 

  • English - 25 marks 
  • Maths- 25 marks 
  • Physics- 25 marks 
  • GS- 25 marks

Marking Scheme 

Duration -  60 minutes 
1 mark for each question 
The total number of questions is 100
0.25 negative marking

Q.1 How to clear Navy SSR/AA in first attempt ?

 Solve as many questions as possible.  Make a set of questions and solve at least 100 questions in a day.  It is important to have a good book for good preparation.  Therefore choose a good book.  Maintain continuity of studies.

Q.2 What is the salary of Navy SSR AA?

 SSR, it is a non-technical exam.  Its salary during training is Rs 14600.  After 2 years of training, the salary is between 29500 to 31000 and after 3 to 4 years it becomes 50000 plus
 Navy AA salary is more than SSR because it is a technical exam and its salary is Rs 36000.

Q.3 Can I join the Navy just after 12th class?

 Every student who pass the 12th class with 60% marks who belongs to any stream of the subject in the study should be joined by the Navy there are two approaches or ways to join the Navy first is from the NDA and the second from the Indian Naval Academy.
